The Knowledge Management Forum, referred to simply as the KM Forum was established in 1995 to promote a better understanding of an emerging concept that has come to be referred to as "Knowledge Management."
These pages serve as an archive to the actives of the KM Forum from 1995 through 1996.
The site is organized into seven major areas. These are;
What is KM - A summary of discussions on that knowledge management is and isn't. The initial thoughts were provided by the KM Forum's host, Bo Newman. Additional thoughts on the topic by members of the KM Forum have been, and will continue to be added as they are expressed by the KM Forum participants.
About the KM Forum - This page. An introduction to the purpose, organization, and policies of the knowledge management KM Forum.
KM Related Papers - An annotated index of papers related to knowledge management. All KM Forum participants are encouraged to add to this list.
Bibliography and Reviews of KM Related books, etc - As available, we intend to include of knowledge management books, web sites, etc. Links will also be provided to other sources of reviews.
Meet the Forum Participants - Brief introductions provided by participants in the KM Forum. All participants are encouraged to add information about themselves.
KM Related Discussion Groups - This section contains two major subsections.
-- Tracks- a collection of contributions on specific Knowledge Management Topics. If there is sufficient interest, we hope to establish a Knowledge Management Forum Mailing list. If that happens, this section will contain the archives for that list
-- Mailing Lists - Short descriptions and links to news groups and mailing lists on topics relating to knowledge management
Again, KM Forum participants are encouraged to add information to this section.
Links to Related Sites - Self explaining. We will try to keep this list focused on the topics relevant to the KM Forum discussions, but interpretation of relevance will be liberal. Again, contributions are encouraged.
The KM Forum is intended to be an informal setting. However, a few guidelines are in order.
The Knowledge Management Forum Policies
